NRI Helping Thalassemia Victim.. (Praja Vinikidi, Bureau, Hyderabad): Ballem Pranay, the eldest son of the couple Ballem Abbaiah and Swaroopa, hails from Shivannagudem village in Marreguda mandal of Nalgonda district and has been suffering from thalassemia for the past year. Even though the government is extending Rs. 20 lakhs of assistance for his operation, the family was facing severe hardships due to a lack of money to meet other medical expenses. Upon learning about their situation, NRI (USA) Kumbam Sreenivasa Reddy, who belongs to Indurthi Meti Chandapuram village, showed a big heart and stepped forward. He personally spoke over the phone from America with the victim's parents, offering them reassurance and stating that he would bear all other expenses related to Pranay's surgery. This information was shared by Giri Yadadaiah, the State President of the Aarogyasri Employees Union, who also extended special thanks to NRI (USA) Kumbam Sreenivasa Reddy.
